Especially if you look at the cost for the Eradicator Deathdroid, you might get the impression, that it comes too cheap for it´s immensive firepower. Maybe this should be a little bit reworked, so the Cybertronicplayers are not tempted to rely too heavy on this toy.

I disagree..

at ca. 110 P he has 3A, 6/3W and a eg. MHMG
that puts im in line with most other big ones, like hurricane walker or mercurian maculator.
I think that 2 Rams, 2 necromower or 2 ronin walker are at least as good.

also, the Cancer is a much better deal, imho, cheaper and the same punch

it may be a good unit, but 2 of them gives you 6 A at 220 P.. not too good (thats ca. 5 vulcans Wink)

BTW, don´t forget that he is also a vehicle (official FAQ) -> moving & shooting, which is good, but not imbala.

I think, if you want now, if it unbalanced, then you should start your favourite spreadsheet programm and insert the values of all units. then you should make a formula giving all attributes some scores. the total score will show you, how much this units value is.

This is the only way to determine the balance.

@ Aldrien: can it be, that you are talking about UWZ instead of 2nd ed? Wink
@BlackICE:
Well, I for myself have to agree with UraYagyu.... the Eradicator is definitely underprized. For several reasons:
1) It has nearly the same stats as the Mishiman Dragonbike. The only main difference in the armament is that the Deathdroid has a phosphor cannon, the dragonbike has a mounted HMG instead. What the Eradicator lacks in range though, that difference is more than compensated through the fact, that the cannon is a template weapon, so it can terminate even a whole squad with just one hit! And additionally it gives a 11(x2) damage (even at long range)! So its a very, very deadly weapon compared to the dragonbike. And to make things even worse: The Deathdroid has a weapon immunity of 10 - but the weapon immunity of the dragonbike is just 5!!  But now the best at the end: the Deathdroid costs just 123 points, but the Dragonbike costs 136 points!!!! This is ridiculous!!! Shocked Angry
2) GT-Offroad from Bauhaus: though its an open vehicle, there is the chance to hit the driver or gunner (20% chance, both have just 1 wound) and therefore eliminate the whole vehicle (if just the gunner is hit, the vehicle cant fire anymore, if the driver is hit, the vehicle becomes static and just has a 90° fire arc in front of the vehicle), the Deathdroid has no driver (you have to eliminate the whole vehicle with all the 6 wounds). Also the GT-Offroad has just one weapon system (mounted HMG), the Deathdroid has 3!!! The Offroad has just 5 wounds, the Deathdroid has 6!!! BUT: the Offroad costs 159 points, the Deathdroid just 123!!! Shocked Angry
3) Hurricane walker: the same as for the GT-Offroad - just one weapon system (mounted HMG), the Deathdroid has 3!!! Also the HMG is a normal weapon, but the phosphor cannon of the Deathdroid has Anti-Tank-capability! And the rocket launcher of the Deathdroid has the ability, that if it hits a figure, than the figure starts to burn and has to roll repeatedly for damage unless it rolls either a success (and is saved) or fails until it dies. So, the walker is a little bit cheaper (114 points) compared to the Deathdroid, but it has not half of its firepower - 9 points difference is no relation to the effectivness and deadliness of the Eradicator in the game. On the other hand the Rams Air Cavalry: No weapon immunity, a armory of 10, twin rocket launchers with a near-to-zero-chance to hit and just 1 (!!) wound - and the cost is 108 points!!! Shocked Angry
No, Black Ice - this figure is definitely overpowered and underprized. Read the books first (especially a little bit more critical and careful than you did before and mostly self-critical the part of Cybertronic), maybe this will change your mind. Fiat iustitia. Roll Eyes

Fetzenbankert, I did not say in any way, the Deathdroid is underprized or not. I have only written, how we should compare all units with each other.

You can read this in several ways. And maybe I am not the only one, who understood that wrongly. And on several occasions you insisted on Cybertronic products are the best, the most modern and are quite moderate in price - and this is the reason why the Eradicator is so cheap in points. You never gave me the impression that you would think about changing the point costs. Kiss Wink
And for the adjustment of the point costs: I already started a thread about that: 2Ed - Calculation costs for new figures? You can post any ideas and modifications of point costs also there.
